Batemans Bay, Gerringong, and TumbleGum Inn
Australia Home
Leaving Kangaroo Valley, we headed south along the coast to Batemans Bay and enjoyed a lazy riding day. After riding around the beaches for a while, we turned around and headed north on the Princes Highway to Gerringong. Along the way we hit Seven Mile Beach and rode through the Jambaroo Pass again. Gerringong is a surfers paradise, and the waves are easy to ride. We stayed at Tumblegum Inn on our way back to Sydney. Another great place. This is also where we found a visitor in the early morning, a medium sized (about six inches)
Huntsman Spider in our bath. Yikes! They are not poisonous, but there bite is painful it was 6AM, so I had to be rather quiet trying to kill it without waking up the whole house. After Jane, who hates spiders, discovered what I was doiong, I was quite the hero that day for 'saving' her.
